Maritime Open Data Environment - Operational Data Store (MODE - ODS)

The Operational Data Store (ODS) is a repository for storing naval data and documents that was designed, developed and deployed by iFathom.

The purpose of ODS is to aggregate the information in the Canadian Navy’s databases and exchange the data with industry using transfer services and transfer packages. In short it is a 'data-mart' for intelligent exchange of technical information.

The Operational Data Store (ODS) provides a means to:

• Establish a master document repository for the Canadian Navy;
• Improve co-operation and interoperability between several existing systems and processes;
• Make fleet documentation more accessible, and
• Assist in making modifications more effective.

iFathom continues to help ensure the success of the ODS project by maintaining and supporting all of the ODS applications.
