Description
Intermediate PL/SQL Developer (5 to 10 years experience)
Full-Time Contract Position in Ottawa
Tasks:
Primary Duties: Oracle PL/SQL, Window Batch file scripting, tuning, and testing
Secondary Duties: analysis, design and technical specification writing.
Required
The Successful Candidate will possess:
- Federal Government of Canada VALID Enhanced Reliability Clearance (PWGSC);
- Strong unit, integration and system testing skills;
- Proven technical knowledge in software development and testing methodologies;
- 3+ years experience in Oracle database and PL/SQL including Stored Procedures, Functions, and Triggers;
- Ability to work independently from technical specifications;
- Excellent interpersonal and communications skills; working with other developers and users;
- Excellent problem solving and consultative skills;
- Must be a team player with a positive attitude, enthusiasm, initiative, sense of urgency, and be self-motivated; and
- Ability and willingness to provide off-hours support as required.
Preference will be given to Candidates with the following:
- Oracle query tuning skills
- Strong Window Batch file scripting skills
- Strong analytical and design skills
- Data modeling skills
- Relevant Training / Education
