Description

iFathom has been providing custom application design and development work, system integration,  and quality IT Professional Services to government and private sector clients for more than 15 years. iFathom holds a number of Supply Arrangements (SA) and Standing Offers (SO) with various government departments for IT Professional Services in different categories, as well as some government wide SAs and SOs. These represent our clients' projected and ongoing specific IT Professional Services requirements. Our clients have identified Project Manager as one of these categories. Qualified candidates who apply for this position will be contacted when contracts for this position come up, as and when required by our client.  CVs will be kept in our database for this purpose for six months.   

Candidates must, generally, have at minimum a Reliability Status Security Clearance from CIISD.

Duties

Duties may include but are not limited to: 

  • Manage several Project Managers, each responsible for an element of the project and its associated project team;
  • Manage the project during the development, implementation and operations start-up by ensuring that resources are made available, and that the project is developed and is fully operational within previously agreed time, cost and performance parameters;
  • Formulate statements of problems; establish procedures for the development and implementation of significant, new or modified project elements to solve these problems, and obtain approval thereof;
  • Define and document the objectives for the project; determine budgetary requirements, the composition, roles and responsibilities and terms of reference for the project team;
  • Report progress of the project on an ongoing basis and at scheduled points in the life cycle;
  • Meet in conference with stakeholders and other project managers, and state problems in a form capable of being solved;
  • Prepare plans, charts, tables and diagrams to assist in analyzing or displaying problems; work with a variety of project management tools; and 
  • Project sign-off.

Skills

Project Manager Levels of Experience 

Level 1: <5 years of experience as a Project Manager
Level 2: 5 to <10 years of experience as a Project Manager
Level 3: 10+ years of experience as a Project Manager 

Education

Education and certification requirements vary with individual requirements. 

Certification in Project Management (eg. PMP) may be required.
